2014 TO 2018  STRATEGIC PLAN


Where we want to be by 2018

We have identified five Key Result Areas where we intend to bring impact: Economic Empowerment and Marketing; Food Security and Health; Disaster and Environmental Management; Water, Sanitation and Hygiene; and Education & Learning.

Goals

Improved livelihoods of small scale farmers in selected villages of Malawi.

Objectives

  • To improve marketing of different crops and empower communities (tomatoes, onions, cassava, paw-paws, vegetables, soya beans, beans and maize,) economically (in 5 districts of northern Malawi) by 31st January 2018.
  • To improve food security levels and nutritional status of 10,000 households (Northern Region by 31st January  2018.
  • To reduce impact of and manage disaster in (the 5 disaster prone in the northern region of Malawi) by 31st January 2018.
  • To restore the degraded environment Rumphi, Mzimba, Karonga) 31st January, 2018.
  • To increase access to portable drinking water, hygiene and sanitary services in the Northern Malawi by 31st January 2018.
  • To provide education for 15,000 under five children and increase literacy levels among the 2000 adults in the Northern region of Malawi by 31st January, 2018.
  • To establish data banks on best practices for SPRODETA by 31st January 2018.
  • To improve marketing of different crops by small scale farmers by January, 2018 , and
  • To empower communities in the Northern region economically by January, 2018.
